Christopher Peter Meloni was an American actor, best famous for his role on the popular television show Law & Order Special Victims Unit'. Since his college days Meloni became interested in acting. After that, he attended his home institution, the University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he worked in TV and film but his performances on the small screen are what brought him much popularity. He has been able to easily play characters on both sides of the law, and captivate the viewers' focus. The first show he worked on was a television show, and later, he played an officer for the NYPD. His performances on small screens are rewarded with numerous Emmy Awards nominations and PRISM Awards. His most attractive facial feature is thought to be his striking blue eyes. They are believed as a signature and help in portraying the rough and savage characters with a sense of humour. In 2006, he was featured in People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive list.
